De doofstomme jonge Shanks is de cynische houding van zijn schoonzus en haar echtgenoot beu en zoekt troost bij een zonderlinge, oudere geleerde die een immense woning buiten de stad betrekt. Hij krijgt daar werk aangeboden in een laboratorium. Via een ingenieus toestel dat op afstand bediend wordt, moet hij dode dieren weer tot leven brengen. Als zijn bejaarde vriend sterft besluit hij het experiment op zijn lijk verder te zetten.
Nee, helaas is Shanks nog niet beschikbaar op Netflix in Nederland.
