Alex Nijinski (Kinski) is een dokter die per ongeluk stuit op een geheim laboratorium. Als hij even een kijkje in het lab neemt, verandert hij in een gespleten persoonlijkheid. Zijn alter ego is helaas niet al te vriendelijk en gaat moorden.
