Harry Spalding en zijn vrouw Valerie reizen naar een klein plaatsje in Cornwall om de dood van Harry's broer te onderzoeken. Met de hulp van enkele lokale mensen ontdekken ze een hele reeks moorden, gepleegd door een mysterieuze slangenvrouw.
