Plot

Hollywood veroveren en daarna de rest van de wereld. Menahem Golan en Yoram Globus hadden grote ambities toen ze in 1979 het noodlijdende Cannon Films kochten. In het daarop volgende decennium bouwden de Israëlische neven aan een ware B-filmfabriek, die bijna iedere week een film uitbracht. Vaste ingrediënten: explosies, veel vrouwelijk bloot, flinterdunne scenario’s en minimale budgetten. Hoewel Cannon ook artistiek succes behaalde met onder andere het Oscargenomineerde Runaway Train, is de naam synoniem aan het soort actiefilms dat in de jaren tachtig het videotheekaanbod domineerde.
