Een man verdeelt zijn tijd over zijn gezin en de scheepsbouw. Wanneer hij zich op volle zee bevindt, wordt hij met een bizar weerkundig verschijnsel geconfronteerd. Hij blijft krimpen waardoor hij benedendeks vast komt te zitten. Met een lengte van slechts enkele centimeters moet hij zien te overleven in een gevaarlijke omgeving.
