De bekende Inuit-advocaat Aaju Peter heeft lang gevochten voor de rechten van haar volk. Wanneer haar zoon plotseling sterft, begint Aaju aan een reis om haar taal en cultuur terug te winnen na een leven lang witwassen en gedwongen assimilatie.
