In een nabije toekomst, reizen Uffizi (Jason Scott Lee) en Luke (Jason London) naar een afgelegen gedeelte van Roemenië, dat door een burgeroorlog wordt verscheurd. Doel van de missie is het redden van Elizabeth (Diane Neal), maar vooral het vernietigen van de allereerste vampier (Rutger Hauer) ooit.
